I Don’t Take My Hair for Granted Now

There was a point in my life where I got very depressed because of my hair. That may sound pretty silly, but it was still valid for me. My hair was gorgeous at one point, very thick and long. I took such good care of it, but then it started thinning. I did not even know that was possible. I thought that since I had thick hair, it would stay thick for the rest of my life. That is not true though. I finally saw an aesthetic doctor in Singapore when I started seeing my scalp, which is something that I never thought I would see.

I had done my research on thinning hair, which is how I knew what type of doctor I needed to see. I chose to go directly with this route rather than some of the other things I had seen when researching this. There were so many miracle shampoos and conditioners available along with hot oil treatments and serums that guarantee to bring your hair back to its shining glory. However, I was not born yesterday, and I knew that it was going to take something more than what a lot of these people were peddling.

I went to the doctor to see if he could tell me what was going on. After some tests, he explained that my thinning hair is most likely due to a medical condition I had years earlier, and that it had stressed even my hair. I ended up taking an oral medication along with supplements, and he even showed me the right shampoos and other hair care products to use. All of this resulted in my thinning problem disappearing. It did not happen overnight, but I don’t care because I have my thick hair back. I don’t take it for granted at all like I used to!
